You are white and your checkers travel around the board towards your home (bottom right; bottom left on a vertical screen), and then you bear them off. The dice are rolled automatically: tap a checker and then a lit point to move it by one die. You cannot land where the machine has two or more checkers; if there is only one, you hit it and send it to the bar. Doubles are played four times. Bear off all your checkers before the machine. Early levels are short races, then come 3-checker games and finally the full game.
